We would love to help you settle in for the weekend. Below are a few hotels nearby: one in Santa Barbara by the harbor, and others in Carpinteria and Goleta, about a fifteen-minute drive. We looked for rooms in the $150 to $300 range. April is usually quieter, though Saturday nights can still climb, so we recommend booking early.
If you are coming as a larger family, we strongly recommend an Airbnb. A house together is the most comfortable way to stay, and often simpler than booking several hotel rooms.

A hotel in Santa Barbara proper, a few minutes from the harbor. April is usually their quietest month. Midweek rooms we saw were $120–$260. Saturday can still jump, so book early.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carpinteria
About a 15-minute drive · Carpinteria
A proper hotel with breakfast and a pool, just off the 101. April is usually their quietest month. Rooms we checked were often $150–$250; Saturday can run higher, so book early.
Best Western Plus Carpinteria Inn
About a 15-minute drive · Carpinteria
Another hotel (not a motel) with a courtyard, restaurant, and pool. Midweek rates we saw sat around $150–$240. Saturday nights can climb, same as everywhere here.
Best Western Plus South Coast Inn
About a 15-minute drive · Goleta
On the Goleta side if you'd rather stay north of town. Breakfast, pool, and free parking. Weeknights we checked were $150–$250; Friday and Saturday are the pricey ones.
